Jenae grew up adventuring in Northern California and Southwest Colorado. At sixteen she traveled to South-Western Africa with The Traveling School igniting a life of international inquiry into cross-cultural studies and development. After graduating from Colorado Rocky Mountain School, Jenae spent her colegiate years studying Cultural Anthropology and International Relations with a focus on African culture and development. A gap semester took Jenae to Uganda to work as a teacher and health care volunteer. While back in the Bay Area she coached youth soccer, played college volleyball, worked as a kayak guide and lead an early literacy program with Americorp. Since 2008 Jenae has worked as a highschool teacher and international leader with The Traveling School and Adventures Cross-Country, facilitating experiences across Sub-Saharan Africa, South America, Asia and Australia. Most recently Jenae earned a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Organization Development and has been working in the Bay Area as a coach and facilitator for organizations such as Hewlett-Packard, TEDx, Google, Facebook and more. Now at VVS, Jenae feels fully aligned working with different groups to cultivate belonging and connection, while developing opportunity, impact and sustainable growth for years to come!
