Your gift helps ensure Verde Valley School remains a place where people from all over the world can come to live, study, and work together in hopes of making the world a better place. It ensures that the arts, music, and theater are shared and celebrated. And it assures that unique programs like Field Trips and Project Period continue for future VVS generations.
Whether you’re considering a gift to the Annual Fund, a donation to our Global Goals Malawi Program, an item from our wish list, or an hour of your time, we appreciate that you are making Verde Valley School a financial priority.
We are happy to share that 100% of our board of trustees, faculty and staff contribute donations and/or in-kind services to Verde Valley School.
DOES YOUR COMPANY MATCH EMPLOYEES’ CHARITABLE GIFTS?
Naming Verde Valley School as a recipient of your matching gift program can double or even triple the size of your donation, regardless of the method by which you choose to give. Please check with your human resources department to obtain the appropriate paperwork and notify the VVS Advancement Office at the time of making your gift.
Donate to the Annual Fund
Since its founding in 1948, Verde Valley School has sought to create a community of teachers and learners that is, first and foremost, committed to social diversity. In particular, the goal to successfully model an interdependent, international living environment by its students and faculty has been a crucial element of the VVS mission, supporting its hallmark field trip program and formal studies in anthropology. Your donation to the Annual Fund enables us to continue this progressive vision.
Direct your Tax Dollars to Scholarships – FAIS
Arizona residents may contribute to FAIS, Financial Assistance for Independent Schools, and receive an Arizona State income tax credit. Every dollar designated for the School by FAIS donations becomes part of the financial aid package for deserving Arizona students. To learn more about FAIS click here.
Support Global Goals Malawi Program
Since 2005 as a part of the Global Goals Malawi Program, VVS students have traveled to Malawi, Africa to complete a variety of service projects including providing eyeglass clinics, sponsoring girls’ education at Hillside School and fully outfitting the village of Kamangilira with anti-malarial mosquito nets.
Buy a Brick Program
Commemorate your time at VVS by purchasing a brick to be permanently set in the ground of the Gretchen Warren Chapel. All proceeds to to Verde Valley School’s Annual Fund, helping our scholarship fund, Field Trips, outdoor programs, improvements to the campus, and many other programs at the School.
The Building Benches fundraising campaign provides a way for VVS alumni to directly support the school’s ongoing and long-term infrastructure building and maintenance needs. In return, a bench with a commemorative plaque, is built on campus in honor of the donor which could be an individual, a class group, or a graduation decade group.
The school’s infrastructure needs are many ranging from a new dorm roof to a long term vision for the unused land, but the work ethic to get things done here at VVS is strong, and your dollars will go a long way! Please support your school with a donation, then come to campus, sit for spell on your bench, and reflect on this place and our shared experience. It is really quite extraordinary!

SIGN UP FOR AMAZONSMILE AND SUPPORT VVS FOR FREE!
Throughout the school year many of you will be making significant purchases from Amazon: back to school supplies, or personal items and gifts. However, did you know that when you shop through AmazonSmile, Verde Valley School could receive a portion of the purchase price from Amazon at no additional cost to you. AmazonSmile will continue to do this throughout the year so remember VVS when you purchase anything from Amazon. This benefits us greatly!
VVS Wish List
Did you know that tuition fees and donations from fundraising programs such as the Annual Fund, don’t fully cover all the school’s needs in any given year, and so budgeting has to be prioritized – just like you do at home. These deferred needs are put into a Wish List, to await more lucrative years, or……. someone who can make wishes come true, if only they knew, if only they were asked.
While some of the Wish List items may seem like a big ask – the pickup truck for example – you never know if you don’t ask, whether someone may just have a vehicle they no longer have a use for. And many of these items, again like the pickup truck – would be put to multiple uses … we excel at multi-tasking here at VVS!
