Kathy FeatherstoneSeptember 26, 2017
Administrative Assistant to HOS
Kathy was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, IL, and graduated from Illinois State University with a BSW in Social Work.
After several years dedicating herself to improving the conditions of battered women and abused children, Kathy left the social work field and embarked on a career in travel, eventually building her own successful corporate travel business which she divested herself of in 2007.
In 1986 Kathy met her husband John, a native of the United Kingdom. They settled in the suburbs of Chicago and raised two daughters, Hailey and Ella. After discovering Sedona in 1990, the Featherstones made frequent trips to the Red Rocks, and dreamed of one day moving to the high desert.
In 2010 their oldest daughter Hailey enrolled at Arizona State University and the following year the family ‘chased her out west’, settling in uptown Sedona, with their younger daughter Ella and beloved yellow lab Goldie. Shortly thereafter Terra, a rescue dog from the Sedona Humane Society, joined the clan. In 2016 Ella followed in her sister’s footsteps and enrolled at ASU.
In her leisure time Kathy is an avid practitioner of yoga, volunteers in the local community with a passion for alleviating hunger, and loves to travel!
