As a freelance musician, he accompanied many of Spain’s top recording artists in national and international tours, performing in France, Germany, Portugal, México, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Chile and Gabon. He was a member of Spain’s Orquesta Nacional de Jazz and recorded soundtracks for a number of films, television programs and radio shows, and played in the pit orchestra for several musicals and other theatrical productions, including those of the Spanish National Theatre Company. In 2011 he was named Yamaha® Performing Artist.
As an educator, Kevin directed the instrumental music program, jazz and band programs at Madrid’s British Council School and was Key Teacher for Yamaha Music, providing professional development seminars across Spain and Portugal. During a decade he was the Madrid Representative for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, the UK´s largest and oldest not-for-profit music exam board.
Joined by his wife, Spanish teacher María, and two children Víctor and Laura, he is happy to be back in the southwest. He enjoys traveling, hiking, philosophy and good movies.
