Lianne was born in Los Angeles, California, however she has lived most of her life in Navojoa, Sonora, Mexico. After teaching English as a foreign language in Mexico for several years, she received a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and worked for General Electric for three years. Soon Lianne realized that she missed teaching and decided to move back to the United States and get her master’s in teaching Spanish. She taught in Flagstaff, Arizona and later in Providence, Rhode Island. Longing to be back in the west and closer to her home in Mexico, she came back to Northern Arizona to teach Spanish at Verde Valley School.
Lianne has two children who are both going to college in Mexico at the same school where she received her bachelor’s. When her kids visit they enjoy having movie marathons and making homemade pizza.
