Meg assumed this role after serving as English Department Chair at VVS for five years and College Counselor for the last three. Prior to VVS, Meg spent eleven years teaching high school English in both Tucson and New York. In addition to her work as a high school teacher, Meg also worked to help teams of teachers and administrators develop professional learning communities at their schools. A National Board Certified teacher and former IB Examiner, Meg loves engaging with all aspects of teaching and learning at VVS. Having spent several years as an alumni interviewer for Brown University and an SAT coach, Meg enjoys sharing her knowledge of the college admission process with VVS seniors and their families in her additional role as Director of College Counseling. Meg lives here on campus with her two daughters, Lucy and Juniper, and her husband and VVS Farmer, Mike Spielman.
