Experiential Education

At VVS we incorporate experiential education into our daily routine and curriculum.  We believe that learning by doing is the deepest and most lasting type of education.   We strive to demonstrate how every action we take can cause us to learn, grow, understand, and become more compassionate and empathetic.  We encourage students to reflect on their actions and challenge themselves to incorporate tasks into their lives where what the learning is inseparable from accomplishing the task.  We can see that this has a direct effect on the fulfillment a student gets from learning and the impact it has on the community around them.

We have several specific programs where experiential education is the cornerstone.
